CHA assembled twenty-three (23) contiguous properties, and through a series of public-private partnership agreements with the Township of Bloomfield, constructed thereon a new, 487,000 SF ground-up mixed-use, transit-oriented redevelopment project. This project was the first redevelopment project in the Township of Bloomfield in over 30 years, and earned the full support of the community. Prior to the completion of construction, CHA sold (i) the residential apartments to Avalon Bay, and (ii) the retail spaces to Cedar Realty Trust.
Building highlights include:
- 224 residential apartments
- 60,000 SF of retail space, anchored by full-service supermarket
- 450-car municipally-owned parking garage
This project represents Phase I of CHA’s successful three-phase redevelopment efforts in Bloomfield (note: Phase II is CHA’s construction of 6 Points @ Bloomfield Station, and Phase III is CHA’s construction of The Royal @ Bloomfield Station ).
