Background

With his notable track record of success, William Colgan, an accomplished industry professional, is entrusted with handling the firm’s capital stack. In his 12+ years of real estate finance, William has worked with New Jersey Municipalities to negotiate payments in lieu of taxes (PILOTs) and Redevelopment Area Bonds (RABs), while working with New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to obtain Industrial & Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP) and Industrial Development Authority (IDA) benefits. Furthermore, William negotiated the first New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) deal that NYCEDC ever completed as a newly formed CDE. He has raised equity, pref equity, bridge loans, construction financing, permanent financing, and lines of credit for CHA.

Prior to CHA, William worked as a financial consultant at Studley, successfully completing over 250 transactions totaling over 9 Million SF. In 2012, he was selected for The Commercial Observer’s 30 under 30 list.
