LIVIA at East Hanover Celebrates Grand Opening

EAST HANOVER, NJ – It was time for a party as various community members, elected officials, and more gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting at LIVIA, a healthcare community providing both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing services.

The facility, which occupies what was once an office complex on Route 10 at the intersection with South Ridgedale, officially opened 18 months ago. The facility is 100,000 square feet, and is home to 86 skilled nursing beds and 37 beds for assisted living.

“To get to this point in a project, it takes a village,” said Steven Rosefsky of CHA Partners, the real estate company which saw LIVIA to fruition, “And we clearly could not have arrived at this evening without the steadfast support and dedication from many various stakeholders”.

Rosefsky formally greeted attendees and stakeholders before introducing LIVIA Chief Operating Officer Rich Molfetta.

“At LIVIA, our communities are designed to feel like home, while offering state of the art amenities and technology, leaving our residents fulfilled, connected, and comfortable”, said Molfetta, “In our innovative and unique neighborhood design, our open floor plan promotes socialization and an active lifestyle”.

After Molfetta’s speech, he led everyone out for the formal ribbon cutting and for formal press photos. Over eighty (80) members of the business and neighborhood communities were in attendance.

Attendees included Florham Park Mayor Mark Taylor, East Hanover Council President Carolyn Jandoli, councilmen Brian Brokaw, Sr. and Mike Martorelli, East Hanover Police Chief Chris Cannizzo and Captain Chris Berres, President of East Hanover Senior Citizens Club Frank Villafor, and many others. CHA Chief Financial Officer William Colgan planned to attend, but was unable to.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the seniors in our town”, said Villafor, “To have this facility available for the community. It’s a very high end facility, which’ll appeal to a lot of seniors, too.”

Those in attendance were treated to various hors d’eouvres by the staff, drinks, and live music. After the ribbon cutting, they were led in several tours around the new facility and its various amenities, followed by desserts.

LIVIA plans to open an even larger facility in Totowa early next year, though according to Molfetta, East Hanover will remain the flagship.
