BLOOMFIELD, NJ–Over the last several years, Bloomfield has quickly become a residential destination that is attracting renters who are seeking accessibility, convenience and a thriving local vibe. Ripe with a bustling downtown, local favorites include Holsten’s — a homemade ice cream shop that just celebrated its 75th anniversary — and Anthony’s Cheesecake & Restaurant, Six Points Pub, and Bloomfield Steak & Seafood House — along with a wide array of restaurants and shops that are sure to catch anyone’s attention. And with a Midtown Direct train line located in downtown Bloomfield, the township is a commuter’s dream.

But when it comes to finding an apartment in Bloomfield to call home, which features and amenities are at the top of renters’ wish lists?

Outdoor spaces have always been a popular feature but in our post-COVID environment, they’ve become even more essential for apartment hunters. A connection to nature and the outdoors has been known to have a positive impact on mental health and it’s amenities like these that can go a long way in making an apartment feel like home.

One of the newest developments in Bloomfield, Six Points at Bloomfield Station features three entertainment courtyards with fireplaces, fire pits, grills, and outdoor televisions. An abundance of outdoor space, comfortable seating areas and thoughtful design make all the difference in contributing to the resident experience at this property.

Gavin Oko, one of the first residents to move into the property, shared what he loves most about the patio areas at Six Points. “The outdoor spaces are beautiful and are a key point in my experience at the building. It’s a great place to spend time alone or mingle with other residents, there are always people around because it’s such an inviting area,” he said.

Central location for seamless travel and a true neighborhood experience

In real estate, what’s old is new and when it comes to finding a new home – it’s all about location, location, location. Accessibility is of the utmost importance when it comes to finding the right location, whether that means access to public transportation, major highways, or local restaurants, cafes and shops. At Six Points, residents are just minutes from Bloomfield’s bustling downtown and have everything they need within reach.

Another resident at Six Points, Shane Berger, explained how crucial the building’s location was to his living experience. “I’m living so close to amazing restaurants of different cultures within such a diverse community, just 15 minutes from the airport and the stadium. I look out my window overlooking the city and can see it growing — this is the kind of place where you plant your roots,” he said.

On-site amenities for convenience and easy living

Providing on-site amenities such as a state-of-the-art gym is a huge draw for residents, as they boost their day-to-day lifestyle. Game centers, cafes, lounges, and co-working spaces are among the perks that take apartment living communities to the next level by creating a hub of activities at resident’s fingertips.

Six Points offers residents all of these amenities, in addition to a pet spa and bark park, along with top of the line apartment finishes and appliances, modern hardwood plank floors and oversized windows that offer plenty of natural light.

Shernella Gaya, who moved to Six Points last November, shared that the finishes and amenities were one of the top deciding factors for her. “When I first saw the building, I was really struck by how modern and high end it appeared on the outside. Once I looked into applying, it was the gym, in-unit amenities and finishes, and the unique spaces throughout the building that pushed me to go for it,” she said.

Management that goes above and beyond for residents

Apartment living is often defined by the on-site team doing all the behind the scene work to keep things running smoothly. Going the extra mile and taking care of residents beyond the usual job description is one of the best features you can offer them — and what makes a place feel like home.

The Sparrow Asset management staff at Six Points are not only willing to help with any issue or question, but they actively seek to make each residents’ day better – every day. As Shane says, “Especially during unforeseen circumstances like the pandemic, you learn that life is all about the people that make it great. Hiring stand out staff like we have here makes for an amazing experience that will keep me here for years to come.”
