CHA Partners has broken ground on 10 N. Main in Wharton, N.J., a 66-unit luxury community including 7,800 square feet of ground-floor retail. The development, a public-private partnership, is expected to come online in the summer of 2022.
William Colgan, managing partner at CHA, said in a prepared statement that the firm selected Wharton as the location due to, among others, the Township’s transit-oriented character.
The property is slated to include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The community will offer 83 parking spaces and will provide four electric vehicle charging stations.
Located in downtown Wharton, 10 N. Main will be within walking distance of Robert Street Park, 1 mile from the ShopRite of Wharton Mall and 2 miles from Market Place at Rockaway and the Rockaway Townsquare shopping mall.
The community will have easy access to several major thoroughfares, including routes 15, 46 and 80. The Lakeland bus route and Dover Train Station, some 3 miles southeast, offer transit links to Manhattan.
